Lab/X-Ray/Ultrasound

Laboratory Services

Most lab samples or specimens are collected by nurses and specially-trained medical assistants at the clinic. Family Health Care has an in-house laboratory used for basic screenings. All other lab testing is sent to an outside laboratory.

In order to expedite reporting of laboratory test results, we follow these guidelines:

Radiology Services

General X-Ray examinations are also available in the clinic and are conducted by registered radiology technicians. All X-Rays are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist. X-Ray results may take up to one week to be reported and will be reported by telephone to the patient.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is used to aid in the diagnosis of a wide variety of medical conditions. Family Health Care has new, high-quality, state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. Ultrasound examinations include:

Abdominal studies (liver, gallbladder, kidneys, etc)
Echocardiography
Echoencephalography in infants
Obstetrical studies to evaluate fetal well being, growth assessment, etc.
Pelvis studies (uterus, ovaries, urinary bladder, etc.)
Superficial structure studies (thyroid, tissue masses)
Vascular studies (carotid arties, transcranial arteries, upper/lower extremity veins, etc.)
